Herbert Ong@herbertong

Macroharder takes up about 810,000 square feet. Minihard is about 312,000, and @CernBasher says it packs in a lot more compute despite the far smaller footprint. That's why he calls Minihard a product, one that keeps evolving like everything Tesla and SpaceX build. He walked through Colossus II in Memphis. Macrohard has about 550,000 GB200s, Macroharder about 220,000 GB300s, and Minihard is going up next to rows of Megapacks. A land swap clears space for a fifth data center, and a warehouse across State Line Road could become a sixth. In Brownsville, 444 acres now sit under Starbase for permitting. $SPCX

Tested voice cloning with Ming-3.0-tts-0.5B by @AntLingAGI and it is even more insane. For a model of this size, voice cloning happens really well, i tested my own voice, half drunk, in a room full of noise (fan noise mostly) and it instantly cloned it. It needed just a 5-second sample of my voice, and it speaks faster than real time: about 4 seconds of speech in 2–3 seconds. All running locally on my RTX 3090. Ming takes about 3.3 GB of VRAM, and the whole model is under 3 GB on disk. Great time for Local AI.

Andrej Karpathy@karpathy

Weekend hack: HackerTube. I was annoyed with YouTube's recommendations so I had Claude filter down 43M comments over 20 years of HN to 6,454 videos that keep being recommended. *Significantly* better viewing experience, ~2 hours with Opus 5.5: https://hackertube.org/ - Excellent recs without any logins (state is kept in local browser session) - Thumbnail is a representative frame from middle of the video instead of the super duper A/B test hyper-optimized user uploads - Underlying data from the comment analysis as one zip file, point your Claude at it and ask for your own version - HackerTube Longs ✊ A bit more on the process: I use Claude Code (desktop app for Mac), Opus 5.5 on Medium effort as my default. I only talk to Claude and have it do everything, the only "manual work" I helped with in tandem was in the browser (reminiscent of MenuGen): 1) I had to create some kind of API key from Google Cloud UI to query YouTube for video metadata, 2) I booted up a VPS box for serving and 3) I bought the domain name. Once the box was up I gave Claude the IP and told it update, secure, harden, deploy and optimize the code, and it did the whole thing. Many awesome projects that would have normally taken weeks/months even can now be few-shotted for breakfast. What else are we not thinking of.

  5. Tianyi Cui51

Mario Zechner@badlogicgames

recommended reading. had the good fortune to talk with @tianyi a little while ago, and the DSH folks are one of the not so many teams doing innovative stuff in the harness space. the below largely aligns with what we are gravitating towards at earendil as well. single, long lived entity, ad-hoc, freeform, possibly recursive delegation for actual tasks, cross-system event ingestion and triggers. good stuff.

Justine Moore@venturetwins

Last week, I told my Grok @bot to surprise me with a gift. I said it could use up to $100 from my X Money account, and asked it to consider my tweets + our conversations to pick a good present. Look what arrived today! Even included a Halloween surprise 🎃

  9. Addy Osmani67

Adam Wolff@dmwlff

ultrathink!

  10. Aravind Srinivas51

here’s a short grok bot guide on how i create high quality bots and manage my team. ask @bot to read this post and help you improve your team! • add dr eggbot to your team! he’s my bot designer that i use to create bots • you don’t need a lot of bots. a few good bots can be more useful and easier to manage than a large team • tell your bots to create skills for itself as you give it instructions on how to do tasks. this lets them do them more consistently even over long conversations. you can even ask it to create a private github repo for you to store all your skills if you want them preserved independently • add connectors, use the vault, and give access to all the tools you use to do your work. you can also ask your bot to setup its own email and it can sign up for its own accounts for better separation • thinking about all the work you do by hand, or steps in your workflows where you have to copy and paste information back to your bot. ask your bot how it can do that for you instead! • imagine you hired an intern, how would you onboard them and help them do the work correctly and efficiently? introduce yourself to your bot and describe the work you do, then ask it how it can help you automate it and my favorite tip: use voice mode or the transcription option! it’s a good way to just brain dump a lot of information. then, at the end, tell your bot to “restate this in your own words” so you can confirm it understood you https://x.ai/bot/_jOdbfkB16zxu7MRcmReE
