Big Tech is replacing part of its hiring engine with GPUs.

Firms now see many office tasks as software problems, where a model plus chips can handle drafting, coding, support, search, and internal analysis with fewer people in the loop.

That pushes demand away from broad entry-level and general IT roles and toward narrower jobs tied to model building, deployment, data systems, and revenue-critical work.

The startup version is even sharper, because investors now reward small teams that reach $ 50M in revenue with 10 employees instead of the older software model that needed far larger staffs.
