So looks like Jacob Coxon (the ex OpenAI and Anthropic researcher) was not that wrong after all when he said the below last week.
"China already has spies at OpenAI at Anthropic. China has the ability to hack at any time. If we pull ahead that doesn't give us a big lead, they can just step in and steal our progress at any time."

truly unbelievable stuff going on. 🤯 FBI arrested a former employee in connection with a sophisticated listening device found hidden in one of OpenAI's offices.
