Ruddarraju joined OpenAI last year and was appointed as CTO for compute in July.
Bloomberg: OpenAI has put Uday Ruddarraju, its compute CTO, in charge of the infrastructure business Sachin Katti ran. Katti will leave the role over the next few weeks and stay on as an adviser, about a year after joining from Intel in November 2025.
