Meta is adding commercial software connectors to its Muse AI agent to automate routines for small enterprises.

The expansion extends the conversational tool beyond basic personal assistance into commercial workflow orchestration. Rather than forcing managers into separate dashboards, the system brings business functions into chat threads, synchronising account data with daily administrative tasks.

Meta’s engineers configured ‘Muse for Small Business’ to handle standard operational burdens across existing digital channels. The program reviews connected commercial profiles to identify product inventories, brand tone, and regular client enquiries, applying that background to generate targeted operational copy and plans.

Tom Mulholland, Owner of Mulholland Grocery in Malvern, Iowa, said: “I work about 65 hours a week, and there are so many things where I’m the only one who can do them. I need to free up time for the work that actually makes my business money: cutting the steaks, making the sausages.

“I’m very good at what I do, but that doesn’t mean I’m good at all of the different roles a small business owner has to play, and Muse is taking over a few of them.”

Direct integration across Instagram and accounting systems

The system links directly with Facebook Pages, Instagram professional metrics, and Meta ad accounts. Beyond Meta’s internal platforms, integrations reach into external accounting books, storefronts, and client records. Design workflows interface with third-party software, including Canva, allowing teams to pull existing visual assets directly into conversations.

Queries allow users to audit annual receipts, advertising performance, and social metrics to establish corporate targets for subsequent quarters. During heavy communication periods, the system filters calendar entries and message queues to present priorities. The tool examines past advertising results alongside current digital trends to prepare fresh campaign schedules.

Custom endpoint connectors and subscription tiers for Meta Muse

Businesses operating proprietary systems can develop custom connectors to bridge unlisted software into the platform. Meta opened partner onboarding at muse.ai/platform, inviting external vendors to build native plugins for its application directory.

In addition to handling user prompts, the software functions autonomously in the background. The background process inspects accounting records to detect unusual expenses, highlights incoming messages that require attention, and prepares draft correspondence inside a dedicated ‘Ideas’ tab.

Meta is providing core agent features without charge, positioning the software as an accessible baseline for operational productivity. However, high-volume business users must purchase monthly subscription plans to access extended operational capacity.

Further connector integrations and task specialisations are set to be deployed for Meta Muse over the coming months.
