Bloomberg: Bain & Co. says AI needs $6T in annual revenue by 2031 to justify today's data-center spending.
Existing consumer and enterprise AI services could supply as much as $1.8T of that, leaving a $4.2T gap.
Bain expects nascent markets to fill it, from robotics and autonomous machines to drug discovery, mental health and energy generation.
That bar is 3 times the one Bain set a year ago: $2T by 2030, with a forecast $800B shortfall.
