BOE says its pilot line has produced 24-layer glass substrates larger than 100×100mm and passed internal reliability tests.

Customers are testing electrical performance with actual CPUs and GPUs packaged onto the substrates and running in servers.

BOE has invested nearly RMB1B in the line. It aims to meet conditions for a mass-production investment in H1 2027, potentially Q1, depending on customer orders and yields. (Image credit: Intel)
