China’s CAC is investigating DeepSeek and Moonshot after Anthropic alleged they secretly routed sensitive user requests to Claude, The Information reports.

Officials reportedly questioned seven AI firms before focusing on the pair. The concern: possible transfers of Chinese military, police and state-company data to US models.

The probe is ongoing, with no penalty decision reported. CAC and both companies did not immediately comment.
