Alibaba will open its first cloud regions in Turkey, Finland and the Netherlands within 12 months, executive Li Feifei said at the Apsara conference.

It will also expand data centers in Malaysia, Germany, the UAE, France and Hong Kong to deliver local cloud and AI services.

The rollout supports Alibaba’s goal of a 20GW global data-center network by 2032, extending its competition with AWS and Google beyond Asia.
