NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman is now publicly backing the idea of moving AI compute into space.

And SpaceX is targeting 2027 for its first space-based data center.

"You never want to bet against Elon Musk, I’ll tell you that right now. We're never going to get there if it's perpetually funded by taxpayers. So we are all about the orbital economy, and if that means taking the data centers that some people don't want in their backyard, putting it in space, taking advantage of the free fusion reactor, I think that's a great thing."
